To Paradise

We were electrified to finally see Boracay. It is our very first time time to witness the beauty of this Paradise Island. From Bacolod City, we took the 4am barge ride. It is a 2 hour trip. After arriving in Ilo-Ilo city, a 5 houir land trip going Caticlan is what we have to tread. Indeed, it is a lengthy trip.

We reached Boracay at about 1pm. When we got there, we had a problem with our hotel because we did not book ourselves earlier. It was an on the spot escape. Luckily, my friend's aunt owned a hotel in station 1. We basically stayed there for 4 fun days.
And yes, we walked our way to the fine white sand of Boracay. To my great dismay, the water was very DIRTY. :( It was the time of the year I guess where algaes are abundant or something. I really hate it.
                                                                        Sunset view.
We sailed our way to the sea. It was pleasurable feeling the breeze from the ocean. :)

Renting this sail boat will only cost you 600php. It was a good start.

                                                                  Fire dance.

We decided to try island hopping. We visited 4 islands. Our first stop was in Crystal Cove. The entrance fee cost 350. The price is so worth it. The sites you'll see is very pleasing to the eyes.
This is from the rooftop of the mini castle in the island. Looks like we were in another country. We felt like total beach bums. Fun. :)

Meanwhile, this is the view of the underground cave. The water was very clear. Beware though for the claustrophobics. The way to this resilient cave is a very dark and undersized pathway. We knocked our heads unintentionally on its walls several times.
We were not able to take photos in crocodile island and puca island because of certain circumstances. When we were snorkeling in Crocodile Island, a large sea creature stung our companion. They said it was really poisonous. We all freaked out and went back to our hotels. The creature left a big scar on 3 of our friends. It was really scary. We instead tried the banana boat ride which I will rate 7/10.
We got our hairs braided from the locals of the Island.

Since we had too much activity for days, we decided to try the famous cool treat. Honestly, I forgot the name of the restaurant. :) Opps!
We ate at I love BBQ. Yummy food. You'll see interesting sign boards which will make you realize that eating is super heavenly.

For everyone who's planning to go to Boracay, you must bring large bucks. The activities will truly entice your craving for adventures. Your tastebuds will make you pig out. Your shopping impulsion will trigger big time. And because of these, your pockets will be empty. Better be prepared for the expenses.Lastly, you have to remember to benefit from the whole experience.
