One of the most memorable trips I had was when my friend and I went to Zamboangita. We did not know where to go, where to stay or even what to do. Luckily, some hospitable people welcomed us in their homes and the escapade began.
This was taken in Apo Island. Apo Island is located 7 kilometers off the southeastern tip of Negros Island and 30 kilometers south of the Negros Oriental capital of Dumaguete City in the Philippines.
The sand isn't really fine in here. It consists mostly of small shells and pebbles. But really, we enjoyed walking barefoot even if it hurts. :) We're like masochists huh?
I was at a loss for breath when I got to see the jaw dropping rock formations. We interviewed some of the locals and they claimed that those rocks were not man made. I am very lucky to have witnessed such beautiful scenery. With us are some new found friends who shared their laughters here at the beach.
A lot of foreigners visit the place for diving. The sea has vast coral reefs which invites tourists. The boat going to Apo Island is 3000 pesos. Some sea creatures found in Apo Island.
I can conclude that this is one of the best sites for snorkeling. The fishes and corals are just magnificent. The folks in the island take care of their natural resources for these help them gain income.
This place is a must visit. A total adventure wrap in one island. :)
